Project Description
India’s first fully air-conditioned railway terminal the state-of-the-art Sir MV Visvesvaraya Terminal, located 1.2 km from Baiyappanahalli Metro Station. Built at a cost of Rs.314 crore, the structure is modelled along sleek and imaginative design which invites an introduction to the city of Bengaluru with its architecture, rapid development and cosmopolitan way of life.
Main vision of the Overall planning is given to cater the maximum needs and concerns of the variety of traveller’s visiting, whole Architectural marvels in and around railway station adds important factor in intensify travelers experience by offering a host of amenities.
The entry welcomes with a grand enquiry counter with centralized AC system which has Real Time Digital passenger info system on the both side of counter along with a booking counter and seating lounge for people to wait. Every Seater in the seating area is attached with special structure providing charging ports and is luggage friendly which satisfy travelers’ experience. Customized Wooden benches have been installed, which replaces the existing old styled steel ones at railway stations which add on comfortably in space
PWDs facilities has been incorporated in whole planning of terminal from entrance ramp which is wheel chair friendly, then in ground floor entrance opens with automatic sensor door , with PWDs friendly ticket counter and waiting room have attached handicap toilet facilities for user friendly travelling experience.
