We undertook a detailed assessment of the existing site, and our findings revealed key spatial and behavioural patterns shaping its current use. Over 50% of users were actively searching for shaded spaces, highlighting a lack of climatic comfort and significantly reducing the site’s “stickiness.” Additionally, more than 75% of the activity observed was movement-related, with people primarily passing through rather than pausing or engaging. Circulation routes dominated the experience, while gathering areas remained underdefined and underutilised. Vehicular presence further fragmented pedestrian comfort and visual continuity.
To shift this imbalance, our vision proposes a people-centric landscape strategy that reclaims the space for users. Layered tree canopies, shaded plazas, pergolas, and seating nodes create inviting microclimates that encourage dwelling and social interaction.
We created immersive spaces that enhance landscape quality and encourage interaction. Through layered planting, shaded gathering areas, and refined design elements, the site transforms into a vibrant destination. The result is a cohesive, globally benchmarked landscape that elevates everyday experience while fostering comfort, community, and visual excellence.
